Meet Results
FULLERTON -- Cal State L.A.'s men's and women's track and field teams competed in the 2010 Ben Brown Invitational at Cal State Fullerton and the Golden Eagles recorded more NCAA Division II provisional qualifying marks.
Damein White recorded a provisional mark while winning the 200 meters and the 4x100 relay team of
Leve Ross, White,
Josh Como and
Dominic McGIffert earned a mark while winning its event to highlight the day's activities.
The meet was highlighted by another spectacular performance by
Josh Como, who improved his automatic qualifying mark in the triple jump with a new personal best of 53-00.25. His previous best was a 52-5.50 achieved in 2009.
White, who earned All-America honors in the 100 and 200 in 2008, won the 200 meters handily with a time of 21.32. He also won the 100 meters with a time of 10.63. The 4x100 relay team won its event with a time of 40.70.
The women's 4x100 relay team of
Brittany Manuel,
Moriah Jubrey,
Jennifer Shoate and
Jamilah St. Cyr finished third in its event with a time of 47.99. Jubrey also finished third in the 100 with a time of 12.29.
Jubrey finished second in the 200 with a time of 24.99 and was third in the 100 with a time of 12.29.
Tuekeha Huntley took seventh in the long jump with a mark of 16-11.25.
Karee Nordby was eighth in the javelin with a mark of 122-6.
