LOS ANGELES – The recent rain has caused some changes in the schedules for Cal State L.A.’s baseball and women’s tennis teams.

Cal State L.A.’s baseball team will be hosting Cal State San Bernardino on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Reeder Field. That game was originally scheduled to be a part of the John Scolinos Memorial Tournament at the Major League Baseball Urban Youth Academy on Saturday, but was washed out.

The Golden Eagles’ game against Cal Poly Pomona on Friday at that same tournament was also rained out and has not been re-scheduled.

Cal State L.A. will also host a doubleheader on Saturday against Cal State Dominguez Hills to complete a four-game non-conference series that will be begin with singles games on Thursday and Friday in Carson.

Cal State L.A.’s women’s tennis program had its match with Fresno Pacific rained out on Friday and that match will not be rescheduled. The Golden Eagles will now open the 2010 dual match season with a California Collegiate Athletic Association contest against Sonoma State on Saturday at noon at the CSULA Tennis Complex.

The tennis program will be hosting the USTA Campus Kids’ Day. The match with Sonoma State will begin at noon with player introductions. On the side courts, the Golden Eagles will have “Fast Serve” and “Hit for Prizes” contests from 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. Following the Cal State L.A.-Sonoma State match, the CSULA players will be signing posters and will be available for photos.
