LA JOLLA -- Cal State L.A.'s women's basketball team was on the wrong end of a lengthy, game-breaking run Saturday night in a California Collegiate Athletic Association contest against UC San Diego. The Golden Eagles were tied with the conference leaders with five minutes left in the first half, but surrendered the next 28 points and lost to the Tritons, 75-43, Saturday in RIMAC Arena.

HAYWARD -- Cal State L.A.'s women's basketball team was on the wrong side of a historic evening at Cal State East Bay. The Golden Eagles were unable to hold on to a 14-point second half lead and eventually lost to Cal State East Bay, 69-68, in overtime Thursday. The win was the first California Collegiate Athletic Association victory for conference newcomer Cal State East Bay.

The Golden Eagles jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead, but the Seawolves shut the door after that and Cal State L.A. dropped a 52-36 decision Friday night in a California Collegiate Athletic Association game in the Eagles Nest.

The Golden Eagles fell behind by as many as 34 points and, despite a strong finish, fell to the Toros, 78-60, Wednesday in the Eagles Nest. Cal State L.A. dropped both games to Cal State Dominguez Hills this season.

The Golden Eagles sliced a 15-point second-half deficit down to one point before falling to Cal State Stanislaus, 62-59, Saturday night in Warrior Arena. Cal State L.A. (4-12, 2-9 CCAA), which knocked off Chico State on Friday, settled for a weekend split.

CHICO -- Cal State L.A.'s women's basketball team has had some close calls this season against some of the best teams in the California Collegiate Athletic Association, only to come up just short. This time, the Golden Eagles got the job done, getting a game-high 22 points from Jazzi Johnson and beating Chico State, 58-54, Friday night in Acker Gym. Cal State L.A. (4-11, 2-8 CCAA) snapped a 16-game losing streak to the Wildcats dating back to 2001.
